Meet the Owner, Trudy Rhodes

Trudy began her career in corporate marketing and now runs her own creative agency. Over seven years, she built skills in SEO content writing, copywriting, brand design, and account management. This helped her figure out what she enjoyed about marketing and how she could make a difference for businesses. She worked at agencies, took on freelance projects, and earned a Master’s in Strategic Communication & Innovation from Texas Tech University to follow her dream of starting her own agency.

Trudy started Rhodes Creative Co. to bring more creativity into marketing. After working at different agencies, she saw that creativity was often missing. She decided to bet on herself and build the kind of agency she had always wanted to work for.

In August 2026, she launched Rhodes Creative Co. to help small businesses build brands they can be proud of.

The Journey to Rhodes Creative Co.

The Journey to Rhodes Creative Co.

2016 - 2018: Playing College Golf & Exploring My Future

When I graduated high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do or who I wanted to be. All I knew was that I wanted to be a collegiate golfer. I played collegiately from 2016 to 2018, and by my last year, I ranked among the NAIA top 20 golfers. Eventually, I decided to focus on a career outside of golf and transferred to a different university.

2018 - 2020: Studying at TCU & Beginning My Career

In the fall of 2018, I began studying Strategic Communication at Texas Christian University. My professors taught me about building brands, marketing, and how important words can be. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a freelance social media marketing manager for an online jewelry store, helping to develop the brand’s voice and online presence. I also interned at an ad agency, which gave me my first real taste of marketing. After graduating in 2020, I was excited to keep learning and growing in the field.

2020 - 2026: Growing from Intern to Employee to Owner

In 2020, I began working as a Content Marketer at a digital PR and SEO agency, which made me even more passionate about marketing. While working full-time, I earned my Master’s in Strategic Communication & Innovation from Texas Tech University and graduated in 2023. After four years at that agency, I wanted to work more closely with clients, so I became an Account Manager at another agency to learn new skills. A year later, I decided to start my own business and launch my own agency.
